Retired Farmer’s Fortune SAILORS ALSO BENEFIT DOMINIUN SI’ECIAL SERVICE TJMARU, February IS.
Bequests to two institutions in Norway, churches in Timaru, and for the benefit of sailors are made under the will of Mr. Dirik Bihl, a Norwegian and retired farmer, who died in Timaru on January 15. The estate was sworn for probate at under £70,000.
The Chalmers Presbyterian Church, Timaru, will receive £3OO, and the Salvation Army and Anglican Church, 'Timaru. £2OO each. After providing for personal legacies the residue of the estate will be divided into three equal parts. One part will be held iu trust for I lie Bergen Technical School, Bergen. Norway. The remaining two parts Will be invested to provide among other things for an annual sum not exceeding £2OO for the benetil of the Shipwreck Relief Society of New Zealand, ami any oilier institution having as its object the saving of life at sea or the benefit or entertaiument of sailors. The residue of the trust property is loft to the .Hankeland Hospital, Bergen.
