The sheep will be offered immediately after the conclusion of the Ram Sale. Practically all Hie ewes will be either daughters or grand-daughters of the famous imported sire "Ford Christian” and this year they are particularly wellgrown and attractive from every point of view. KOHATU ewes and rams have proved most successful in recent years, and “Ford Christian” blood has proved an outstanding success. At the recent Stud Ram Fair ar. Mastorton 10 Kohntu-bred rams of "Ford Christian” blood averaged 86Jgns., the first five in the offering averaging 104gns., a record for Southdowns in New Zealand. Southdown breeders are strongly advised to attend this Sale and secure these outstanding shearling ewes, as “Ford Christian” is get ling on in years and his progeny will become increasingly valuable in the future.
