Belle Cane’s Reappearance Dominion Special Service. 55'ANGANL'I, February 18. Sir Beau went, amiss during a three furlongs sprint this morning. lie was going well, but knuckled over and was pulled up lame. He had been freshening up well and promised to be at his ucot for Taranaki and Trcntham. Homily, looking bright and well- on it after her racing at the Egiuoni meeting, put in a good working gallop over six furlongs this morning. She promises to be at her best for the sVoodville Cup on Saturday. Belle Cane is to make her next appearance at New Plymouth, and will then visit Trentham again. She is in great heart. She was restricted to useful pacework this morning, Algerian resumed work recently after a long spell, during which he was gelded, and hc is making good progress in his preparation.
The winner of the Wanganui Cup (one mile and a quarter), to be run at the autumn meeting at Awapuni on April 3 and 5, will receive £225 in cash and a trophy valued at £5O presented by the stewards of the club.
