HOME GUARD
Miramar.—A successful route march by members of the Miramar Home Guard unit was carried out on Saturday afternoon, three platoons being led by bandsmen. Another Saturday afternoon parade will Is 1 held this week. The commander of the unit. Mr. P. .1. McCarthy, advises that recruits are wanted for No. 4 platoon Karori. — The first public appearance of the Karori Home Guard will he made tomorrow evening, when, with the band of the First Battalion, Wellington Regiment, leading, the guards men will march through the district. Associated with the Home Guard on Iliis special parade will he the mein hers of the E.P.S.. and it is expected lhat a unit of the Women’s Auxiliary Corps will also lake part. Arrangements have been made for enrolling fiirllwr new members at the Karori School from (’>.3o p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow.
