WAR SUFFERERS IN BRITAIN

Figures illustrating American generosity to British war sufferers have been given by the London representative of the British AVar Relief Society on his return from the United States. The society, which was formed by the amalgamation of two American organizations —the Allied Relief aud British AVar Relief—has so far sent about 6,000,000 dollars in cash ami kind. Contributions received during the last two months totalled about 2,000,000 dollars, a rate which the society hope to continue. Committees of this organization have been established in every State in the American nation. The greater part of the funds come from small subscriptions.
