NEED FOR CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Archbishops’ Statement
LONDON, February 12.
The Archbishops of Canterbury, York and Wales issued a statement in which they said:
"There is an ever-deepening conviction that we acre fighting to preserve those elements to which we owe the origin of the Christian faith, yet we find profound ignorance of the Christian faitl). Evidently there is urgent need to strengthen our foundations by securing a Christian education for all our children. The need is so urgent that former denominational and professional suspicions and misunderstandings must be laid aside."
