Italian Attacks In

Albania GREEKS CONTINUE TO ADVANCE (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Received February 13. 7.5 pm.) LONDON. February 12. Though the Italian comniandei, General Cavallero, has launched 50 attacks on the Greeks since taking over the command in Albania, the Italians have not recaptured any lost territory, whereas the Greek advance is daily continuing slowly and steadily. The Greek Press Ministry emphasized the favourable development of the situation.

The Greeks operating in the eoimliti sector advanced considerably and in the northern sector occupied a mountain 0500 feet high. The Greeks are also reported to have captured new heights to the north-west of Trebesina. The headquarters of the British forces in Greece report that the town of Tepelcne has been successfully attacked by R.A.F. bombers and also military stores north-west of the town. Bombs were seen to explode among store buildings at Tepelene, on the main road and between two warehouses.

An Athens communique says good weather assisted the Greek air operations. The Greeks bombed enemy positions behind the lines, inflicting considerable losses. The Italians lost 23 planes in three days.

Another Greek official communique states: “Our aircraft brought down one enemy plane. The present military situation in Albania is described in military circles here as one of vigorous Italian counter-attacks conducted with reinforcements, and of successful Greek resist mice. It. is thought probable that I lie Italians must, be sustaining heavy losses.”
