DYING MAN’S ACTION
Would Not Allow Doctor To Complete Examination Dominion Special Service. NAPIER, February .13. How a man who subsequently died refused to allow a doctor who had been called to see him to complete his examination was told at an inquest, into the death of Ranfurly Lucas, Port Ahuriri, who was found dead in bed early this month. A post-mortem examination conducted on February -I was described by Dr. G. E. Waterworth, who said a tubercular mass had been found on both lungs and other parts were also affected. In his opinion the cause of death was' advanced generalized tuberculosis, starting in a lung. George Norman Lucas, a brother, said deceased had been in ill-health for 12 months and had been confined to his bed for six weeks. Though be appeared weak and ill Lucas would not allow a doctor to attend him. A doctor was called bur. Lucas refused to allow him to complete his examination. A verdict in accordance with the medical evidence was returned.
