SAMOAN SENTENCED FOR MURDER OF CHIEF
(Received February 12, 7 p.m.) APIA, February 11. The trial of two Samoans, Liu and Aitogi, on a charge of the murder of Faitiau, a chief of Solosolo village, on January 7 was concluded ou Saturday after three days at the High Court before Chief Judge W. Carrol Harley and three European and one Samoan assessors. The assessors after two and a half hours’ deliberation found Lin guilty of murder, and sentence of death was pronounced by the chief judge. Aitogi was found not guilty and was discharged.
