Dominion Rubber Dividend The Dominion Rubber Co., Ltd., has advised the Stock Exchange Association that at a meeting of directors a final dividend at the rate of 3J per cent, was declared, making 6 per cent, for the year ended November 30. The dividend is payable on February 28. The transfer books will be closed from February 17 to February 28, both days inclusive. The distribution for the year ended November 30, 1939, was at the rate of 5 per cent. Gold Mining Returns Alexander Mines, Limited, report the following gold returns for the month of January:—Battery department: 560 z. 4dwt. of melted gold from 167 tons crushed. Estimated value, £430. Cyanide department: This has not been cleaned up. In addition: 3.5 tons of concentrates have been saved, valued at £125. Note: In estimating the above values, gold has been taken at 160/- a fine ounce. Timaru Wool Appraisal (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIMARU, February 12. Today was prompt date for the wool appraisement held at Timaru on January 25, when 18,116 bales were appraised. The. proceeds amounted to £317.275/11/2. which gave an average of 12.61 d. a lb., or £l7/10/3 a bale. , Three bales of merino forward on behalf of Mr. J. K. Cameron, Ben Ohau Station, realized 21-]d., six bales 21d., and seven bales 20d. Alexander Mines Report Alexander Mines Limited. Report for the nonth of January.—No. 6 Intermediate Hast Crosscut: This crosscut was started >n a fanlt line and followed 23 feet into Jie eastern wall of No. 6 Intermediate Level. .Stone ranging in width from small boulders to lain, was followed, but the fault has now passed underfoot and driving is suspended. Stoping: No Stoping has been carried on above No. 5 Intermediate or in the south stopes off No. 2 Rise because of a shortage of men. Stoping has been carried out above No. 6 Intermediate Level, the lode varying in width from one to five feet. 170 tons of Ore were sent to Battery. Dunedin Rabbitskin Sale Dominion Special Service. DUNEDIN, February 11. Catalogues totalling approximately 18 tons were submitted b.y brokers at today’s rabbitskin auction. All the principal exporters and furriers were in attendance and a good clearance was effected. There was a strong demand, all grades selling readily at values slightly higher than late rates. Indications point to payable prices ruling throughout the season. The following is the , official range of prices:— Small 22}<1. to 24d. a lb., runners 333 d. to 343 d., racks 40d. to 41d., summers 32d. to 36d., outgoing winter bucks 58|d. to 67d., outgoing winter does to 52d„ spring bucks 43d. to 58-Jd., spring does 33Jd. to 38d., milky 32id. to 38d„ summer broken 32}d. to 34Jd., winter broken 331 d. to 40d., summer fawns 22Jd. to 25}d., summer black 28d. to 30d.
