LAMBTON QUAY ACCIDENT
Damages Claim Fails
A jury of four in the Supreme Court, Wellington, this week returned a verdict for defendant in a claim brought by Steve Hirstich, city council employee, against Burns, Philp and Co., Lt(i., for £2OO general damages and £96/17/6 special damages for injuries received in Lambton Quay on August 9, 1910, when, he was involved in an accident with it motor-truck belonging to defendant company. Negligence was alleged by both parties.
The case was heard before the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers). Dr. O. C. Mazengarb appeared for plaintiff and: Mr. E. Parry for defendant.
