OBITUARY
Captain Euan Wallace (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, February 10. The death is announced of Captain Euan Wallace, M.P. for Hornsey, who, until his resignation owing to illness, was senior commissioner for civil defence in the London region. Captain Euan Wallace became Minister of Transport in October, 1939, but dropped out of the Cabinet when Mr. Churchill became Prime Minister last May. He had been in the House of Commons since 1922. Previously lie was A.D.C. to the Governor-General of Canada, Parliamentary Private Secretary to the First Lord of the Admiralty, and to the Secretary for the Colonies, a Treasury Lord, a Civil Lord of the
Commons since 1922. Previously he was A.D.C. to the Governor-General of Canada. Parliamentary Private Secretary to the First Lord of the Admiralty, and to the Secretary for the Colonies, a Treasury Lord, a Civil Lord of the Admiralty, and Under-Secretary for Home Affairs. Also,, in 1928-29, he was an Assistant Government Whip. He served in the World War. was wounded, and mentioned in dispatches four times.
