Australia’s Pride In Her Soldiers

LONDON. February I

A message from Cairo states that the Australian Prime Minister, Mr. Menzies, announced that he will visit Australian troops in Libya and other theatres of war.

Mr. Menzies today visited in hospital some ISO Australian soldiers who were wounded in the Libyan battles. He expressed the pride which the Commonwealth people feel at their achievements in the North African campaign.

A message from Gaza, Palestine, says that the Prime Minister, addressing many thousands of members of the A.1.F.. said: “We at home will work to our utmost limit in equipping and sustaining you. Australia will be behind you through good and bad. In Munitions alone Australia last year produced ten times the quantity ot the previous year, amt this year we will increase it 30 times. There can lie no limit to our effort."

Mr. Menzies toured the whole of the Australian area, and addressed two big parades. He warned the men against paying much attention to stories industrial trouble at home, saying, "The folly of a few is not the folly of a nation."
