NEW HEADQUARTERS
Patriotic Council Headquarters of the Wellington Provincial Patriotic Council will be transferred to a new address as from the beginning of next week. In a statement announcing the change, the secretary, Mr. Ward, M.L.C., said:— “At the end of this week we will take up our new headquarters in the ‘Smith Family’ building in 'Wakefield Street,” lie said. “There the provincial and metropolitan organizations will be combined for working purposes under the one control, but with separate provincial and metropolitan committees which meet monthly under the chairmanship of the mayor, t shall be the honorary secretary for both committees.
“I’lie depot for parcels will be in the old library building adjacent in Wakefield Street. The depot for the distribution of wool will continue to be in the ‘Smith Family’ building. Tin- telephone number will be under 'Patriotic,’ and so any confusion will now be eliminated in Wellington.
"As soon as possible we shall prepare a map showing the areas ami population of eacli metropolitan and Hutt Valley patriotic district, and we will then try to arrange with any districts that have not a patriotic committee set up to endeavour to do so.”
