FALSE STATEMENT
Naval Deserter Convicted Pleading guilty to a charge of making a false .statement for the purposes of'the marriage register book In Lower Hutt on May G last, Herbert Forsyth, naval stoker, aged 28. was convicted and discharged by Mr. Stout. S.M., in the . iagistrate.s’ Court, Wellington, yesterday morning. Detective-Sergeant W. McLennan said that Forsyth! was a deserter from the Navy and was about to be married when Im supplied the false iuformatlQlL The magistrate made an order that Forsyth be handed back to the naval authorities.
