BOMBS ON SARDINIA

An Admiralty communique states: “On the morning of February 2, naval Swordfish aircraft carried out a successful attack on one of the main sources of power supply in Sardinia. One of our aircraft is missing as a result of this operation.” An Italian communique reports that enemv planes from the west flew over Sardinia, dropping bombs and two torpedoes in a dam on the River Tirso without effect.
