HOME GUARD
Central Sub-Area More than GO members of the recentlyformed central sub-area o£ the Home Guard attended the first parade on Saturday at the Buckle Street drill hall. The commandant, Mr. R. L. Evatt, was in charge, and briefly addressed the men, explaining the proposed course of training. Some preliminary work was done, and arrangements will be made as soon as possible for a regular weekly training date. Mr. Evatt said he hoped every member would seek out one recruit or more, and thus spread the interest. This course had been found very successful in other areas. Keen enthusiasm was shown and it was found that many present had the advantage of previous training.
