“Perfect Community” On Bass Strait Island (Received February 2, 10.25 p.m.) MELBOURNE, February 2. A former New Zealand Government dairy expert, Mr. Peter Hansen, has planned “a perfect, self-contained community” on Flinders Island, Bass Strait. Mr. Hansen, who first saw Flinders Island on a recent tour of Australia, is impressed by its fertility. In two months lie has virtually bought control of the island, which hirs a population of 1200. He intends to introduce Danish methods and also organize the local fish industry.
