FUNERAL OF HASTINGS AIRMAN
Photographs And Letter Received Dominion Special Service. HASTINGS. February 1. An indication of the consideration which the Air Ministry shows for. the relatives of dead airmen is given in a letter and photographs which have been received by Mr. AV. Miller, Hastings, whose son, Sergeant Pilot H. G. Miller, was killed in an aircraft accident in England last August. The letter which Mr. Miller has received was written b.v the officer commanding a Royal Air Force operational training unit, and accompanying it were photographs showing the funeral procession to the churchyard, the collin being borne from the church, the guard of honour firing a volley over the grave, and the grave heaped with flowers. The letter and photographs were sent in duplicate b.v different mails to ensure that the intended recipient would receive them.
