YACHTING EVENTS CANCELLED
No racing events were held by the Royal Bort Nicholson Yacht Club or lite Evans Bay Yacht aud Motor Boat Club on Saturday afternoon, but the steady north-easterly breeze made conditions ideal for cruising during the weekend. Two events scheduled to be held by the Bort Nicholson club, the teams race for 14-foot centreboarders and an Idle Along class handicap, were cancelled because of insufficient starters. The Idle Along event will probably be held Inter in the season. The season’s programme at the Evans Bay club provided for a “free day” for yachtsmen on Saturday afternoon.
