JUBILEE CARNIVAL
Hutt Valley Festivities Begin Tonight At Lower Hutt tonight the Jubilee Carnival arranged by the 50 Thousand Club and the Returned Soldiers' Association for the purpose of raising funds, for the erection of a clubhouse for returned soldiers of the Hutt Talley will lie opened. The ceremony will be performed by the mayor of Lower Hutt city, Mr. J. W. Andrews. Many attractions have been arranged for each evening and the committee has been fortunate in getting assistance from a number of men and women who are well known in the amusement world. Each evening's programme will he of a different nature, so that all tastes will be catered for. A number of bands have, lent their services. The side-shows are of ir nature seldom seen outside tlie larger centres, and the committee has again been fortunate in getting most of the larger displays from the Centennial Exhibition. The gates will open at 6.30 o'clock on. each evening, add for tonight's official i,pelting invited guests are asked to enter by the Myrtle Sfret entrance.
