1 Dewar Shield Athletic Meeting CRICKET COMPETITIONS The Wellington centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association will, conduct a Dewar Shield meeting on Hataitai reserve this afternoou, when the leading athletes of the province will be seen in action. The first event will start at 2.15. Cricket. The Wellington Cricket Association will continue its grade championship competitions this afternoon, when the seventh series of games in the senior competition will be completed. MidlaAd, with two wickets down for 95, will strive for an outright win over Institute Old Boys, who fell for 69 iu their first innings. This game is being played on the Basin Reserve. 4 The other match at the Basin Reserve will be between University, who, with 51 run on for the loss of two wickets, will endeavour to score their first win of the seasou against Wellington, who totalled 128 last week.
