Wellington Sergeant A Prisoner The following casualty is announced: Sergeant John Frederick Coombs, R.N.Z.A.E., previously reported missing, believed prisoner of war, now officially reported prisoner of war. Wife, Mrs." J. F. Coombs, 155 Queen’s Drive, Kilbirnie. EYESIGHT LOST Dominion Special Service. MASTERTON. December 29. Mrs. C. Humphries, Hilton Road, Carterton, has received official advice that her son, Private C. IL Humphries, has lost his eyesight as lhe result of an accident during military’ operations in Egypt. Private Humphries left New Zealand with the first echelon.
