Admiral Darlan And “Very High” German Official (Received D.eeember 27, 7.5 p.m.) VICHY, December 26. Admiral Darlan returned from a conference with a “very high” German personality in Paris and immediately reported to Marshal Petain. VICHY STAMP ISSUE LONDON. December 26. A message from Vichy states that the post office will issue franc stamps on January 1 bearing a portrait of Marshal Petain.
