STATE THEATRE

Unlike most aviation films which deal with wartime combat or commercial flying, "Men Against the Sky,” one of the State Theatre’s three current features, finds drama and romance in the efforts of three men and a girl to build the world’s fastest pursuit, plane. Richard Dix, Kent Taylor, Edmund Lowe, and Wendy Barrie have the principal roles. A spectacular bank iiold-up in a frontier town by three desperadoes starts a chain of exciting events in "Triple Justice,” with George O'Brien vitally involved in the stirring action. O’Brien portrays a resolute rancher who is falselysuspected of robbing a bank and killing the cashier, while en route to the wedding of an old friend. Dramatically commentated by the same American who filmed it expertly- in Warsaw in the first 21 days of horror following the beginning of Poland’s oppression by the seemingly unhuman Nazis, "Siege,” adds much to the high quality of the programme.
