Return Match With Army Team Advice was received at last .night's meeting of the management committee of the Wellington. Ktigby Union from the Central Military District uuthori ties, approving of September 21 as the date for the return Army-Wellington representative match at Athletic Park. Permission was granted for the following matches: —Mac Duffs, Did. v. James Smith. August 31: Electricity Department stall; match. August 31; Johnsonville junior,q v. Wanganui juniors, at. Wanganui Amalgamated Brick and Pipe Co. staff match, August. 24; P. and T. v. Police, early match at Athletic Park, September 28; Kaiwarra. juniors to travel to Wanganui on August 31. .deference to the recent; death of Mr. E. A. Dawson, who had been a member of the union in 1912, 1913, and 1914, was made by the chairman, Mr,. Millard, and a motion of condolence with the relatives was carried. Notification was reaeived from the Director ’of Housing Construction that the union’el ground at Taita had been taken over for housing purposes. There were present: Messrs. J. N. Millard (chairman), G. F. Jackson, H. Murphy, H. B. Simmonds. L. Stannard, A. de Clifton, J. Moffatt, B. J. Burke, 11. D. Morgan, F. J. Tilyard, Professor Boyd Wils-qn, and and Mr. A. E. Neilson (secretary).
