On the south of No. 2 rise a solid stope is being driven 96in. above No. 6 level on stone averaging 12in. in width. This width should improve when the lode is stoped upward. Stoping on the second stope above No. 6 intermediate, the lode is 42in. wide, but should improve in width when, the stope is carried northward. No. 5 intermediate stopes: These are being worked with two men, the lode showing no change. Sixtyfive tons of ore has been sent to battery for week. Mortgages Ajid Land. Transfers Mortgage registrations during -June numbered 1898 for a total value of £1,611,838, the highest monthly value since September of last year, reports the Monthly Abstract of Statistics.
