MONDAY’S WRESTLING
Earl McCready, whose vigorous wrestling in New Zealand this season has given him fresh claims on the favour of the public, will be in action again in the Wellington Town Hall next Monday night, when he will meet Dan O’Connor, the dropkick expert from California. Every successive performance McCready has given in Wellington this season has proved a revelation to the public, and he lias never showed to better advantage than he (lid in his bout with Raines this week. The quality of his general wrestling has never been better, but, on top of this, (here is a fresh vigour and fieriness which set the seal on his displays. The prospect of seeing another of 'these outstanding performances is certain again to draw a large crowd, and. with O'Connor in the other corner, there is no doubt that expectations will be fulfilled. O’Connor is proving one of the big successes of the year, and the win over "Lofty” Blomfield which he secured on his last appearance in Wellington, has given him all the encouragement, he needed to go ahead and seek further successes. He is thoroughly versed in wrestling lore, and he puts his knowledge into action with an aggressive determination Hint takes much stopping. O’Connor is well up to .McCready’s size, and he lias shown that his dropkieks can bring results no matter how large his opponent. The preliminaries, which will begin at 8 o’clock, will include one of the popular "semi-professional” bouts.
