LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Large Attendance At Kelburn Meeting A very large number of members and friends of the Kelburn branch of the League of Mothers attended the recent monthly meeting. At the outset of the meeting all present stood in silence as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Airs. Ogilvy, a member of the branch. After the usual 'business of the meeting, the president, Airs. Charles AlcPhee, welcomed and introduced Aliss Anne Stewart, the speaker for the afternoon, who spoke on home decorations and. home planning. In nearly every home, the speaker said, there was a small corner somewhere which a woman could make into a retreat, all 'her own, to which she could retire for a short time each day to write, sow, read or think. This spot could be marked out in a favourite colour schteme by the woman herself. Site also offered suggestions for colour schemes and. furniture renovations for the home in general. Vocal and elocutionary items by Aliss Signal, Airs. Alclntyre and the choir were much appreciated. Airs. AlcPhee warmly thanked the speaker, Aliss Signal, and Airs. Mclntyre, to each of whom she presented a'small posy.
