PLUNKET MEETING AT PORIRUA
The monthly meeting of the I’orirutt Plunket. Society was held at the residence of Airs. G. Hughes and presided over by Airs. Quill, who welcomed Airs. Croop as a new member. The secretary's report was read as follows;— A euchre party for the Rod Cross Sick. AVoundeil and Belief Fund (local) proved a financial success, 11-1 being handed over. The committee wishes to thank Hit: following: Messrs. Skinner, Hughes, J. D. Hassall, Douglas and Airs. E. AVindley for competitions, also the Oddfellows for the free use of the hall, and Mrs. Eastwood and Aliss Hales for contributions.
In order lo rai.*.- funds for a new car which had been purchased for the nurse's use, it was decided lo hold a dance. An iced cake wirs donated by Mr. Shute. The president thanked Mrs. Hughes for the use of tier home for the meeting.
