Airs. R. F. Batchelor, mayoress of Lawrence, will arrive at Wellington this morning to attend the conference at Government House in connexion with the formation of the Lady Galway Patriotic Guild. She is the representative of all of the Otago counties and the boroughs of Lawrence and Roxburgh. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dobson, who have been living in Wellington for the last, few years, will return to Christchurch at the end of the month and will take up residence again at Lismore Lodge.

Miss Sybil Carey, Cambridge, is visiting Wellington, and is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Maurice Hain.

Miss Jean Campbell, Al .A., Dip.Soe. Sc., Y.W.C.A. secretary from Canada, is visiting New Plymouth to take up work among the Y.W.C.A. girls’ clubs. Aliss Campbell has been appointed national programme secretary and is touring New Zealand and will be in New Plymouth for three weeks. Airs. H. Dampier Crossley and Miss C. Dampier Crossley, North Canterbury, are visiting Wellington. Airs. J. N. Lowry, Fernhill, Hawke's Bay, has returned after . a three months’ visit to Australia.

Airs. M. Abraham and Airs? P. Thomas, are Palmerston North visitors to Wellington.

Airs. W. Adams, Mrs. R. Smythe, and Miss AL Bell, have returned to Blenheim from Wellington, where they farewelled Airs. Smythe’s sister, Airs. P. McCallum, on her return to Alelbourne.

Air. and Airs. Bassett, Alisses D. Melville, S. Newton, T. Collier and P. Dempsey, are recent Wanganui visitors to the Chateau Tongariro. Airs. A. Alortland and Miss Mavis Alortland, have returned to Palmerston North after a holiday at Paraparaumu Beach.
