NOTED AIRMAN’S DEATH
Navigator On Important Flights (Received March 4, 10.35 p.m.) NEW YORK. March 4. The death has occurred of Captain Lewis Yancey, navigator on early oeean flights, notably that from the United States to Rome with Roger Williams in 11)2!). He accompanied the Archbold expedition to New Guinea in 1938 and was navigator of lite flying-boat Gttba. which completed an air survey of the Imperial reserve route to Australia last yea r.
