ASSAULT CHARGE
Incident in Wanganui Park Dominion Special Si'.rvicu WANGANUI, March 4. Accosting a mau whom he believed Io have entered Cook’s Gardens on Saturday night without paying admission to the sports which were being held. Robert M ilkie aged 17, received a blow over the heii’d. inllieting injuries which necessitated a doctor being called. In the Magistrates' Court today, Theodore Stanley Sligo was charged with assaulting ilkie. Detective-Sergeant F. Culloty, in asking for a remand for a week, slated that Wilkie had to attend Wiingnnui Pub'ic Hospital today to be X-rayed. The remand asked for was granted, bail being fixed in Sligo's own surety of £lO and a similar surety' of £lO. Mr. B. C. Haggit appeared for Sligo.
