CRIPPLED CHILDREN
Wellington Society Meets
At the monthly executive meeting of the Wellington branch of the Crippled Children Society this week, the report presented by the welfare officer showed evidence of a busy month. Mrs. Knox Gilmer presided. Fifteen new cases were registered, SI visits were received at the office, I's visits paid to the homes of children, and SS clinic cases attended to, said the report. It was reported that the society’s display at the Exhibition was the centre of much interest, and those inspecting the exhibit were astonished at the high class of work accomplished by many boys and girls who were crippled, in some cases very badly. During the period covered by the report, I'2 cases from other branches in New’ Zealand passed through the Wellington society's welfare office. Mrs. Knox Gilmer was elected liaison member to the Correspondence Schools’ Parents’ Association, to co-operate in work where the interests of the association and the Crippled Children Society were found to be in common. The appointment was made at the suggestion of the Correspondence Schools' Parents’ Association.
