Loading Of Troopships The following letter has been received from the Minister of Defence, Mr. Jones, by Mr. J. Roberts, general secretary of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union:— "I desire lo I bank you very much for the very excellent tiri'iingeinenls you so kindly made for the loading of cargo into the troopships at both Wellington and Lyttelton. "I shall be glad if you will be good enough to convey to the members of the unions at both ports my warm appreciation of their action in carrying out this work outside the ordinary working hours, and also of the rapidity with which the loading of the ships was performed. 1 can assure you Hint the walersiders helped Io a considerable degree in enabling the steamers lo adhere lo Hie timetable which had been prepared.”
