MERGER PROPOSAL
Labour Organizations In America (Received February 11, 11 p.m.) WASHING ON, February 11. The chairman of the Committee for Industrial Organization, Mr. John L. Lewis, advocated that the American Federation of Labour should absorb the Committee by granting charters to all C. 1.0. unions. He proposed i< joint convention in Washington on March 15 for a vote on the question.. Mr. Lewis assured the president of the federation, Mr. W. A. Green, that he would not be a candidate for any oilice.
