Lewis, advocated that the American Federation of Labour should absorb the Committee by granting charters to all C. 1.0. unions. He proposed i< joint convention in Washington on March 15 for a vote on the question.. Mr. Lewis assured the president of the federation, Mr. W. A. Green, that he would not be a candidate for any oilice.
