New Zealand Soldiers
A tribute to the appearance and physique of the London New Zealand soldiers who formed the guard of honour for the King at the reception given by the Lord Mayor of London at Mansion House last week was paid by the well-known 8.8. C. commentator. Mr. Howard Marshall, in a broadcast talk last night. “I do not wonder that crowds gathered. as they made a striking sight with their red and black puggareesand their shining buttons,” said Mr. Marshall. "We are so accustomed to the drab uniforms ef our troops that these made a very attractive display. “I was ''.iso impressed by the physique at this anti-tank battery. There were about 50 of them and one' could not wish to see anything smarter. “They reminded me of the All Blacks of 1924—-the Invincibles. I played against those chaps.
