Mannerheim With Finnish Forces DANES VOLUNTEERING It was announced in a Daventry broadcast last night that Field-Mar-shal Mannerheim, the Finnish Com-miinder-in-Chief, had left tlie Lake Ladoga front, to superintend operations on the Karelian Isthmus. Further help for Finland has come from Denmark. A Danish air squadron has been formed in Finland, and 500 Danish machine workers and blacksmiths have gone to Finland to work in munition factories. —By radio. NO NAZI COMMENT American Official’s Mission Bv yesterday morning the countries to which the United States UnderSecretary of State, Mr. Sumner Welles, is to pay a visit had -all approved it with the exception of Germany. _ So far the Nazis have made no official comment, nor on the conversations Mr. Cordell Hull is holding with other neutral countries. Neutrals in the countries of North Europe show some scepticism as to '-he likelihood of practical results from the visits by Mr. Welles, and there is some comment among them on the fact that he is not visiting Russia or Finland. — By radio. ___________
