SPORTS MEETING IN WANGANUI
A. And P. Association To Benefit Dominion Special Service WANGANUI, January 31. A big sports meeting similar to those held at Makirikiri and Parikino is to be lield in Wanganui on March 30. This decision was reached at a meeting of those interested last, night. The Wanganui A. and P. Association will receive the net proceeds. It was reported that 20 guarantors lind been obtained. The programme will include horse, motor-car. tug-of-war, running and novelty events, children’s sports, highland dancing, and piping competitions. The following were appointed members of the general committee: Messrs. K. Handley. N. Neilson, J. J. Lissett. R. White, G. Anderson, W. E. Robbie. C. J. Masters, W. Craig, L. Keliick, S. Paterson, T. D. Baker. I. Higgie, R. Young, J. C. Williams, F. Birch, W. G. .Bason. A. F. Healey and J. A. Pawson.
