SERIOUS INJURIES

Motor-cyclist Collides With Motor-car A collision between a motor-cycle and a motor-car at the intersection of Willis Street and Ghuznee Street, Wellington, at 4.30 a.m. on Saturday resulted in serious injuries to the rider of the motor-cycle, Mr. A. J. Higgins, aged 25, factory hand, of 8 Ventnor Street, Seatoun. Mr. Higgins was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance with a compound fracture of the right leg, a fracture of the right thigh, and a lacerated scalp wound. Ou Saturday his condition was reported to be serious but yesterday he was a little better. Four passengers in the ear escaped injury.
