The Western Australian gold yield for 1939 was 1,214.237 fine ounces, valued at £11.812.964. This is the highest yield since 191-1, for which veur file output was 1.232.977 ounces fine. it compares with 1,167.791 ounces fine for 1938. valued at £10.363.023. The increase on the year is 46,446 ounces, tint! £1.479.941 in value. The relatively larger increase in the value flitin in the (jiiiintily results I'roni the higher price of gold obtained in 1939.
