POWDER FACTORY EXPLOSION
Heavy Damage In U.S.A.
GIBBSTOWN (Philadelphia). .January li. The explosion of 600011). of nitroglycerine destroyed a unit of the Dupont powder works and shattered windows for 15 miles. An area 50 miles wide was rocked.
Two persons were killed and live injured in.the explosion. The Dupont Company discount sabotage, but the F. 8.1. is’ investigating.
Explosions wrecked the plant three times in 1916, killing 18 persons.
