FEILDING SHOW

Excellent Fixture Promised A copy of the schedule for the Feilding show has been perused and this promises to be a really good event. The occasion is the thirty-sixth for this association and heightened by the centenary spirit, every effort has been made to provide an ideal stockman's fixture.

For years this show has rated as a first-class sheep show, and now it is in way of becoming a topnotch pig-breeders exhibition. Both situation ami season combine to provide opportunity for attracting excellent entries of all classes of stock. lor stud sheep the end of January date is ideal, in that sheep are then at the height of form. So, too, with pigs. It is likewise a right time of year for fat cattle, though not quite so good for breeding cattle or dairy stock. For fat sheep it is an ideal season and it is good for lambs; though a little on late side for early-drop-ped lambs. .. An excellent range of classes provides for stud breeders and also for flock and grade stock producers of all classes of stock. . , The arrangement whereby the ram fair follows on from the show days is excellent for sheepmen. Intending exhibitors are reminded that entries close next Friday. The show days are January 30 and 31.
