Suggested Parade Of Navy Men
Interest in lI.M. battleship Ramillies and her men was unabated yesterday, when several thousands of persons visited Pipitea Wharf and gazed at tiie' great man-o'-war and tile activities of her crew.
A suggestion that tins found favour in many quarters and which would undoubtedly be backed enthusiastically by all tiie citizens of Wellington, is that there should be a partide and march through tiie city of tiie men of the Ramillies and another of His Majesty's ships. Two officers and 200 men from tiie Ramillies will spend today at Day’s Bay. 'The party will leave Wellington by tiie Muritai at 10 a.m., and will he the guests of tiie mayor and mayoress of Eastbourne, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Wise. 'They will be entertained at lunch and afternoon tea. and tennis, swimming and other forms of sport will be arranged.
