WEDDING
Rix—Judd The -wedding took place in St. Joseph’s Church, Shannon, recently, of Maureen Ellen, only daughter -of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Judd, Makerua, and Geoffrey Campbell, second son of Mrs. and the late Mr. S. W. Rix, Linton. The Rev. Father Foley officiated. The bride was escorted by her father. The bridesmaids were Miss Nola Roberts, Christchurch (chief) and Miss Lessie Moynihan (Shannon). Mr. Gordon Greer (Palmerston North) was best man and Mr. F. Judd groomsman. The reception was held in the Parish Hall, where the mothers of the bride and bridegroom received about 80 guests. Mr. W. Moynihan was toastmaster. Tlie bride and bridegroom later left for a trip to the north. They were the recipients of many gifts, including several cheques. The bridegroom’s gift to each bridesmaid consisted of a dressing-table set.
