Mr. J. R. Sutcliffe’s School Wins Again
The Earl Roberts Imperial Cadet Trophy \vas wou nt the last, contest by the Alelbourne Grammar School rifle team, coached by Captain A. T. Bratliug, a veteran of the battle of Otudurmau, in which engagement he fought in the same troop as the First Lord of the Admiralty. Air. Winston Churchill. Every Saturday throughout the year the team was accompanied to the rille butts by the headmaster of the school. Air. J. It. Sutcliffe. Air. Sutcliffe was headmaster of Scots College. AVellingtou, the previous year, when Scots won the trophy. It is said that much of the credit for the team's success must go to him. for lie was a member of the .school rille team as a boy tint! his unflagging enthusiasm was communicated to the boys.
