CRESSWELL. —On January 2, 1940, at her home, 20 Reading Street, Karori, Sarah Reese, the dear wife of T. R. Cresswell and devoted mother of Hallam (killed in action at Passchendaele, 19.17), Marjory, Jean (Mrs. C. G. McKinney, Christchurch), and ( Ashley. (Private interment.) GIBSON.—On January 2, 1940, at 19 Ottawa ‘Street, Ngaio, Arthur Henry, dearly loved husband of Annie E. Gibson. HILTON.—On January 2. 1940, at Wanganui, Francis Giles, dearly beloved husband of Jessie Hilton, of 21 Gloucester Street, Wanganui, in his 71st year. JERMY—On January 1, 1940, at ‘the Wanganui Hospital, Sybil, the beloved wife of the late William John Jermy, of Turakina. MORRIS.—On December 31, 1939. at the home of his sister, Mrs. 1. O. Denue, Waipukurau, Andrew, the dearly loved second son of Mrs. Agnes Morris, and the late John Morris, Parkville, Eketahuua; aged 52 years. At rest. NIEILEY— On. December 30. 1939, at the residence of her sister, Mrs. H. G. Davis, Monck's Spur, Redcliffs. E. J. (Lizzie), eldest daughter of the late Robert and Martha Neiley. High Street, Greymouth. PIKE.—On January 1. 1940. at Wellington (suddenly), Winifred May, beloved wife of the late Ernest Seldon Pike, and mother of Maru and Joyce; aged 54. PIKE.—On January 1, 1940, at a Private Hospital, Wellington (suddenly), Winifred May, relict of the late Ernest Seldon Pike, of Palmerston North and Wellington, and beloved' mother of Mrs. V. Macpherson Jones, and Miss Joyce Pike; aged 54 years. (Interment at Auckland.)
