Bound For The South Pole Before Admiral Byrd's expedition sailed from "Wellington on Saturday for Dunedin and the Antarctic, members of the North Star’s company visited the Centennial Exhibition. Among them was the expedition’s surgeon, Dr. R. G. Frazier, an adherent of the Mormon religion, from Utah. Dr. Frazier, much of whose life has been spent in exploring the desert country of North America, is the surgeon of the Utah Copper Company, one of the largest copper-mining concerns in the world. At the Exhibition he visited (he Mormon exhibit, and meeting the three Mormon missionaries in charge of it. Afterward they were his guests at breakfast on board Hie North Star, before the vessel sailed.
