NAVAL MEN TO VISIT WANGANUI
Luncheon On Friday FIVE HUNDRED FROM H.M.S, RAMILLIES Dominion Special Service. WANGANUI, January 2. Ou Friday Wanganui will be host to 500 officers anil mtm from 11.M.5. Ramillies, which has arrived at Wellington. “I was.telephoned from Wellington by the Department of Internal Affairs,” said the mayor. Mr. Rogers, today, “and was asked whether the city would entertain the men from the battleship on Friday. After consulting with the town clerk, Mr. C. R. White, we decided that Wanganui would gladly entertain the men at a luncheon, for which arrangements are in hand, at the racecourse.” The men are to leave Wellington by special train at 7.35 a.ni; on Friday and will arrive at Wanganui at 12.58 p.m. They will be in Wanganui for a few hours and' opportunity will be taken to show them round the city and suburbs.
