Soldier Fatally Injured By Tclegrapli—Press Association. CHIHSTCHUHCH, January 2. private in the New Zealand Special. Force at Burnham, Walter Corrigal Toy, son of Mr. W. W. Toy, Lyttelton, died on Sunday evening from Injuries lie received when he was struck by a motor-ear about a mile from Kolleston, on the Christchurch side. Toy was standing on the road bolding up his hand to stop a car travelling from the direction of Christchurch about 12.30 on Sunday morning when he was struck by another car approaching him from behind and travelling toward Christchurch. He suffered serious head injuries, and was taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital, where he died about 8 o’clock on Sunday evening
